Actor

I was a member of The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain before spending three very happy years at LAMDA.

My first big acting job was in Willy Russell’s ‘Blood Brothers’. I toured across UK theatres and it was an unforgettable experience. My first decent TV break was in ‘London’s Burning’ on ITV. I did two series of that before guesting on various TV dramas and comedies. There was the BAFTA-winning BBC drama Warriors (I did all my scenes with Damian Lewis. Whatever happened to him?), Coupling (written by Stephen Moffatt of Dr Who fame) and my personal favourite, a ten-week stint on ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp’ playing DJ Dr Fox.

Next I played Pam Ferris' son PC Matthew Thyme in all three series of ITV’s ‘Rosemary and Thyme’. After that, it was another policeman, but this time in Albert Square. I was Walford’s ‘bobby on the beat’ playing Sergeant Kenny Morris in BBC’s Eastenders, from 2007-2015.

In June 2015 I set up www.dickenstheatrecompany.co.uk with fellow actors Eric Richard and Louise Faulkner. I played Bob Cratchit in our 2015 ‘A Christmas Carol’ and then Magwitch and Bill Sikes in 'The Trials of Charles Dickens', both directed by Eric Richard.
